Green Beans with Cumin and Mustard
You can enjoy this recipe as a snack or as a side dish. The use of tumeric, mustard and cumin along with fresh the fresh vegetables makes this a very nutritious dish.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb Green Beans
- 1 tsp Corn Oil
- 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1/2 tsp Tumeric
- Salt to taste
- 2TBS Coconut Falkes for garnish
Directions:
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Add oil and mustard seeds and cumin seeds and let them crackle for 1-2 min.
- Add tumeric and green beans and stir for a minute. Add salt and stir.
- Add 3-4 tbsp water or chicken broth as required just to cook the beans.
- Cover the skillet and cook the green beans for 5-6 minutes.
- Remove to a serving dish and sprinkle with coconut flakes.
